Youth Robotics Info Session

Interested in youth robotics (K-12)? Come to the San Carlos Branch Library to meet local FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) coaches from your neighborhood. Learn what a season of FIRST robotics looks like at the elementary, middle, or high school levels.

This is an interactive event, with robots and competition challenge parts on display. Attendees will be able to talk with coaches directly, and take home practical handouts about the FLL and FTC programs. The primary audience is parents and teachers of students interested in robotics programs, but children are also welcome.

Thanks, everyone, who came to 2022 Robotics Showcase Extravaganza at the San Carlos Branch Library on April 9!

Teams from local schools and the San Carlos neighborhood displayed their robotic creations. The event also included interactive STEM activities in the library’s Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery.

Meet Outreach Ambassadors from Grossmont College and Mesa College and learn how to enroll in college classes and start earning credits toward your degree FOR FREE. Find out what academic social, leadership, and career opportunities the Grossmont-Cuyamaca and the San Diego Community College Districts offer to their students.

Representatives from each school will give short presentations and answer audience questions. This event will be held outdoors, so be sure to bring a sweater!
